Jeffrey Singer has maintained a general civil practice since 1981, representing businesses and individuals in transactions and litigation. Mr. Singer’s experience is extensive in commercial and real estate law, including contract negotiation, document preparation, conveyances, leases, financing, exchanges and foreclosures. He is also experienced in real estate litigation, including appeals to District Court of commercial and residential property appraisals by appraisal districts, landlord/tenant disputes, commercial and residential forcible entry and detainer actions and contract suits. He additionally practices family law, including divorce, child custody and paternity issues; and corporate law, including corporate document preparation, shareholders’ litigation, corporate organization, merger and acquisition agreements and financing arrangements. Other areas of practice include estate planning, including preparation of wills and codicils, testamentary trust provisions and living trusts; probate law, including administration of estates; business and consumer law, with emphasis on contract negotiations and disputes, Deceptive Trade Practices Act litigation and sworn accounts; and construction law, including M&M liens, construction contracts and contractor disputes. Mr. Singer is also trained as a mediator.
